For a while now i’ve been interested in workwear. The functionality and durability of the designs always strike me, the history behind it thought me a lot of new things and it has been a great way to connect with the people who wear it.
This apron is the result of an ongoing conversation with Isabelle van Lieshout about workwear and the relationship to her crafts. We had many interesting talks about material, fit, movement en placement of details. I observed her while working her magic in the kitchen and beyond.
